I have a couple of cats that like to dig in the water bowl or stand on the side to drink and I had a pool of water on a daily basis. So far, they can’t tip these over and the trough around the edge prevents spillage when they play in the water. Easy to get out of the holder and easy to clean. I just spray them with Dawn and run them under water and so far they come pretty clean. I would assume you could wash in the dishwasher without heat if you are pickier than I am. They also don’t slide around on my tile floors easily either.

I will say though, it is rather big. I didn’t check the dimensions (totally my fault) so I was a bit surprised. Thankfully, it fits in their tank just fine. But I would recommend, especially if you have a tank on the smaller side, to check the dimensions and maybe use a measuring tape to measure a spot for it in your tank before buying. I have a 40 gallon terrarium with a 10 gallon tank inside it for digging, so it fits inside my tank fine albeit a little snuggly. But if you have a tank that’s like a 10 or 20 gal with a topper, this might not work out for you.
