Each time ice is dispensed I do it again. Pull the bag out of the freezer and repeat process…scoop ice in, seal and put back in freezer. This way we have a whole gallon size bag full of ice in the freezer ready to be used that same day or next day. This does mean you’d have to be on standby, but I love doing it this way. Ice generally doesn’t freeze together either making it difficult to break apart once in freezer. When I put the full bag of ice in my freezer, I lay it flat so there’s no ice clumps. Easy peasy.The only negative thing IMO is that this product doesn’t come with a magnetic strip or fixture of some kind to be able to keep the white scoop stored on the side when not in use.
