Customer Reviews
“The media could not be loaded. I ordered this 2-burner gas cook top to add to my shop break room/kitchen. I’ve been using an electric countertop coil, but that thing sucks! I had lots of pre-existing counter space and plenty of under-cabinet space for a propane tank, so I picked out this unit and got to it! The little stove came well packed. Everything was secure in fitted foam blocks and the whole thing was double-boxed by Amazon. It came with a hole template, so I picked a location in my counter, outlined the template, and cut a hole. The stove dropped in nicely with just a little wiggle room. Since my stove was going to be operated from a propane tank stored below, I installed the provided propane burner orifices. The unit comes with its own regulator. For the propane bottle connection, I got a BBQ grill hose and regulator from Lowe’s along with an adaptor fitting to connect the hose the the stove. This leaves me with two regulators in series, but that doesn’t cause a problem. The ignitors on the stove require a 120VAC connection. I routed an electrical cord down under the cabinet for that. I used a little pipe sealant to get the gas line fittings sealed. Once I was happy with the physical connections and location, I installed the provided stove top retainer clips. With everything in, sealed, and connected, I turned on the gas. No leaks. I then pushed and turned the burner knobs and heard the tic, tic, tic of the ignitor. Viola! I had a nice, even, blue flame! All in all, a pretty easy DIY project. If you have all the tools and parts ready, probably just 2-3 hrs work.”
“Installed easily. Works well. Good luck with many different items.”

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the difference between natural gas and propane gas stoves?
A: Natural gas stoves connect directly to your home’s gas line and typically offer lower operating costs, while propane stoves use portable tanks and provide greater mobility. Most modern 5 burner gas stoves are designed to be convertible between both fuels, giving you flexibility depending on your setup and location.
Q: Do I need professional installation for a 5 burner gas stove?
A: Yes, professional installation is strongly recommended for all gas appliances. Qualified technicians ensure proper gas line connections, ventilation requirements are met, and all safety protocols are followed. This protects both your investment and your household’s safety.
Q: How many BTUs do I actually need for my 5 burner gas stove?
A: For most home cooking, look for burners ranging from 5,000-6,000 BTUs for simmering, 8,000-10,000 BTUs for standard cooking, and 12,000+ BTUs for high-heat tasks like searing and boiling. A good mix includes at least one high-output burner for boiling large quantities and several medium-output burners for everyday cooking.
Q: Are sealed burners better than open burners?
A: Yes, sealed burners are generally preferred because they prevent food spills from falling into the burner components, making cleanup much easier. They also reduce the risk of gas accumulation around the burners and provide better draft protection. Sealed burners require less maintenance and offer improved safety.
Q: What safety features should I look for in a 5 burner gas stove?
A: Essential safety features include thermocouple flame failure detection (automatically shuts off gas if flames go out), child safety locks, and proper ventilation requirements. Look for models with CSA or UL certification, which indicates they meet rigorous safety standards.
