Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “Good large pan…great price (bought it on sale for $50). I use it to cook steaks in and other large dishes. Quality has been very good…no warping so far even at higher heat levels. Easy to clean.”
Customer Review: “I bought this pan to see if I can use stainless steel and this is phenomenal. This pan is so versatile. I can make chicken, braise beef short ribs, sauté and do so much more. This is great for one pot meals. It arrived in perfect condition. It is easy to clean. I let the pan cool then fill it with water. Most of the time I can clean it right away after using no problem.. I don’t have any issues cleaning my stainless steel pans. It’s nonstick if you use it properly. I use medium to low medium heat. That’s more than enough heat to get a nice braise or sear because of how well this heats up. Heat distribution is also good. I’ll be switching over to an all stainless steel set in the future. This is very well made. I scratched the bottom but that was my fault and it still looks beautiful. It’s on the bottom and nobody can even see it. It holds up. Is very sturdy and can fit a lot of food as you can see I fit a whole butterfly chicken. It looks so nice. Great price. I took a picture of the pot after I used and cleaned it a few times. I’ll get barkeepers friend to keep them shiny and new looking. I hand wash and dry right away to preserve them. This is going to last a long time I hope.”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “This is the best sautéed pan I’ve ever used! It’s oven safe also. It looks like it’s Teflon coated but it is not like any coated pans or skillets I’ve had before. It’s sturdy and distributes the heat evenly. The lid fits securely too. I’ve done steaks in it and they’ve seared nicely. I always use rubber tools on all my cooking items. It’s so easy to pick up and the handles do not get hot. I’ve been on a Mediterranean diet and use this as a one pan meal. I only use EVO on it. It sautés everything. I can go from stove top to oven if needed. It cleans so easily. I did season it prior to using it. Easy to do. I am going to check if they make other pans or pots. If so I’m replacing all my old pans. If they had 10 stars I’d rate it that!”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “This Sensarte pan by far the best large skillet I have owned. I am not the best cook… but this pan makes it hard to ruin food. It is truly non-stick, and I have not needed much oil to keep the burning at a bare minimum. I have found that my dishes come out WAY better, and I haven’t gotten any more experienced at cooking, so I credit the product 100%. The pan comes with a glass lid so you can watch the magic happen, and the set is a nice heavy weight. It has been great with heat distribution… I’m a crazy person who checks every part of my meat with a digital thermometer, and can confirm things cook evenly haha. I try very hard to only use silicone cookware to prevent scratches, scrapes and damage. So far, I have had no issues whatsoever. Because of the non-stick quality, clean up is so quick and easy. I have yet to stand at the sink, scrubbing and cursing at stuck on food. I do recommend hand-washing only instead of using the dishwasher to avoid an early demise of your new pan. I’ve had mine for about 2 months now, and even after daily use it cooks just as nicely today as it did on day one. I would 10 out of 10 recommend, and plan to purchase again.”
Customer Review: “Very nice! Large and deep but easy to lift with the double handles. Very good heat conduction while the handles remain cool to touch. Easily cleaned, the non stick works beautifully! Easily wiped if simply removing excess oil, easily cleaned if needing washed! Looks attractive. Quite pleased! Great value, Will buy again!”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “This amazing pan (nothing sticks to it, but I’ll get to that later) came very nicely packed. Everything was in a separate bag to prevent scratching and wear during shipping. The small helper handle was pre-attached, but the main handle needs to be put on with 2 nuts. The wrench you need is included, so it is super easy. The box would have needed to be twice as big if the handle was already attached, so I see why they did it this way. As long as you remember ‘righty tighty & lefty loosey’, putting the handle on is a piece of cake!I have an induction cooktop so I am always looking for induction compatible cookware. It is not easy to find, especially a pan like this in 5 QT with the helper handle. I do most of my cooking in this size pan and have gone through two of the non-stick coated pans in a relatively short amount of time. But now I think I have finally found what I’ve been looking for. My Inqibee pan came with a tiny flaw on the cook surface near the long handle. It isn’t flaking or in any way getting worse, so apparently it is no big deal. The hybrid steel & ceramic surface is awesome! It feels a little strange to have the slightly textured ridged pattern instead of a completely smooth surface, but somehow nothing sticks. Ham and peas gravy didn’t stick and tasted oh so good with biscuits. Then later I did the real challenge. I made scrambled eggs with NO oil, and they didn’t stick either. If I tried that with my regular ‘non-stick’ frypans, it would have left a coating of burnt egg that needed soaking and scrubbing. But with this pan clean up is like magic! This pan is listed as 5 quart, but I measured cups of water into it to see how full it would go. I only managed to get 4 quarts before the water level was just about a half inch from the rim. You really wouldn’t be able to cook anything like that without boiling over or splashing out. My other 5 quart saute pans are pretty much exactly the same, so maybe it is an industry standard labeling thing. The largest dimension of the pan from tip of one handle to the other is 21 3/4″ long. The overall height is 3 3/16″ for storage purposes. The usable inside of the pan is 11″ in diameter, and is 3″ deep. And as I said before, it only holds 16 cups, or 4 quarts if you are pushing your limits. But really if you need to hold that much food, you’d pull out a stock pot anyway. I think this pan is the perfect size when you are cooking family sized meals. I don’t think I’d want anything bigger.I plan to check out this seller and see what other versions of this cookware they offer. I love the high quality and extreme non-stickiness of this pan. It feels like it will last for a really long time since there is no teflon coating to wear out and start peeling off. This Inqibee pan is built to last!!”
Customer Review: “So, I’ve been trying to replace some old pans and also introduce some new styles to make cooking easier. This one caught my eye because, not only does it come with a lid, but it is big enough to hold a one-pot meal for a large family with ease. To start with, it is probably the best packaging and presentation of a pan that I’ve ever ordered. Some assembly is required before use – you have install the handle onto the pan. This pan is very well made, sturdy, and has some heft to it. Once you do have it installed, the handle fits well in the hand and stays relatively cool while cooking on a stovetop. The smaller ‘U’ shaped handle is very handy to have especially with a pan of this size. It does get a bit hot during cooking but a hot pan mitt takes care of that. One of the most interesting things is that those handles attach to the outside of the pan leaving the inside fully covered by the non-stick ceramic coating. The non-stick surface seems to be working quite nicely. I did choose to only use silicone covered utensils to cook with it to protect the ceramic coating. It heats evenly and does wonders sauteing vegetables and bacon for soup. Love the transparent glass lid that I can watch my cooking food through. It also has a small steam vent. In the cleanup department it does wash easily utilizing non-abrasive materials. If you like to cook at home I would say that this pan is a very good value for the money. Eating out is a treat so having good quality cooking equipment and utensils is a must. This pan is probably going to be a favorite of mine….”

Complete Buying Guide for 5 Qt Saute Pan With Lid
Essential Factors We Consider
When selecting the best 5 qt saute pan with lid, we evaluate several key aspects: material quality, heat distribution, ease of cleaning, and versatility. Stainless steel pans like the Cuisinart model offer durability and even heating, while nonstick options such as the Circulon A1 Series simplify cleanup. Always check for induction compatibility if you have a modern cooktop. Also consider oven safety—many pans now support temperatures up to 550°F, expanding their use beyond the stovetop.
Budget Planning
You don’t need to break the bank to get a reliable sauté pan. Budget options like the SNOWCLAD model deliver excellent performance at a fraction of the cost of premium brands. Mid-range choices such as the Inqibee or T-Fal Ultimate offer a sweet spot between price and features. Reserve top-tier models like the Calphalon or Cuisinart FusionPlus for when you want professional-grade construction and want to invest in long-term kitchen tools.
Final Thoughts
Choosing the right 5 qt saute pan with lid depends on your cooking style, kitchen setup, and budget. Whether you prioritize nonstick convenience, stainless steel durability, or hybrid technology, there’s a perfect match among our top picks. Remember to pair your pan with silicone utensils to extend its lifespan, and always follow care instructions for optimal performance.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Are stainless steel sauté pans harder to clean than nonstick ones?
A: Not necessarily. While stainless steel requires a bit more attention—especially after searing—it responds well to proper technique. Letting the pan cool slightly, adding water to loosen residue, and using mild soap usually does the trick. Many users find that once seasoned correctly, stainless steel develops a natural nonstick patina over time.
Q: Can I put my 5 qt saute pan in the dishwasher?
A: Yes, many modern sauté pans—including the Calphalon and SNOWCLAD models—are labeled dishwasher safe. However, hand washing often preserves the nonstick or anodized finishes longer, especially for pans with ceramic or painted exteriors. Always check the manufacturer’s recommendations.
Q: What’s the difference between a 5-quart and 5.5-quart sauté pan?
A: The volume difference is minor but meaningful. A 5.5-quart pan, like the Cuisinart option, offers extra capacity for larger meals or batch cooking, while a true 5-quart pan is still spacious enough for family-sized dishes. Both sizes fit comfortably on most stovetops without being unwieldy.
Q: Do I need a helper handle on a 5 qt saute pan?
A: Not always, but it’s helpful. The helper handle improves balance, especially when the pan is full. Models like the Cuisinart FusionPlus and Inqibee include this feature, making transfers safer and more comfortable. If you rarely cook large quantities, it may be optional.
Q: Is induction compatibility important?
A: Absolutely. Induction stovetops require ferromagnetic bases—usually made of stainless steel clad with magnetic metals. Always verify compatibility before purchasing, especially if upgrading your cooktop. Brands like Cuisinart, Circulon, and SNOWCLAD clearly mark induction-ready products.
Finding the best 5 qt saute pan with lid doesn’t have to be overwhelming. By focusing on your cooking habits, kitchen setup, and desired features—like nonstick surfaces, oven safety, or induction readiness—you can confidently select a pan that becomes a trusted kitchen companion. From the durable Cuisinart 5.5 Quart to the budget-friendly SNOWCLAD Hybrid, each of our top-rated options delivers reliable performance for home cooks of all levels. Upgrade your kitchen today and enjoy seamless cooking, effortless cleanup, and delicious results every time.
