Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “Excellent coffee potHas pause & serve and auto shut off. Coffee is nice and hot!”
Customer Review: “The media could not be loaded. This coffee maker brews a very tasty 5 cups of coffee. Apparently you can adjust the coffee, lighter or darker. It definitely does shut off in two hours like it says it does. At my age that’s a very good safety factor. I love the fact that when I load my coffee filter it’s very easy to use the front loader. It’s also very easy to fill the water because it fills from the front. If you want to program it to turn on at a certain time you can. The coffee is nice and hot and stays at a good temperature when you refill your cup. You can pause the brewing to pour a cup of coffee and then put the pot back on to complete the brewing. It’s small and convenient for one or two people. It does exactly what it says it will do. The only thing that could make it even more perfect is if it beeped when it shut off to remind me that I better grab my last little bit of coffee before it gets cold. I’m not sure it might do that, but I don’t think I’ve noticed a beep. Anyway I have been delighted with this pot. Cause all the things that I love about it my old coffee maker did not do. And I really noticed the difference.”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “My Drew Barrymore ‘Beautiful’ coffee machine died 1 year and 15 days after we purchased it— (15 days too late to exercise the warranty and 11 months too late for an Amazon return). And, throughout the year of its life, I wiped up its leaks on a daily basis (not exaggerating) and the programming took a bit to figure out, even with a post graduate degree. I endured these flaws, however, because it really did look lovely on our countertop and I paid a lot of money for it.Needless to say, I spent hours researching new coffee makers, and was intrigued by the stellar reviews for this inexpensive, off brand machine.I took a chance — and OMG, so happy! We’ve made at least five pots of coffee and NO leaky mess to wipe up. The coffee brews steaming hot in minutes with three brew choices— so good! The programming for our “wake up” pot is so simple! It is filter free (although we are using our cone filters left over from our previous coffee maker). It does everything our B coffeemaker did for nearly $100 less and has the added feature of brewing iced coffee. In addition, this 12-cup machine is amazingly compact and our coffee nook seems much roomier now.Loved it so much I ordered our son and daughter-in-law one, too.Happy discovery!”
Customer Review: “Love this coffee machine! It cleans itself. No noise while using it. We brew strong coffee every time taste great and I never have coffee grains in my coffee. No leaks, very simple to use, and sold at the best price. If you looking for a good coffee machine you have found it!”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “This machine does so much, and I feel like I paid so little. What a great cup of coffee–I had been using a mini 5 cup brewer for some time and this machine’s coffee is so much better. I love the strong brew feature–I feel like I am saving on coffee. The touch controls are slick, the clock looks great (not too bright, just right), and the strong brew, a set timer, and begin brew all have a confirmation light for each, so you know. The drip rate is as expected. Now, to my hand, the carafe lid’s flip-up thumb button and action seems a little squirrely, but I don’t really use it much anyway and has no impact on anything of real significance, it just seems to swing open and closed fast and my thumb has a hard time getting the feel right and controlling it. This is an attractive unit. The top lid action feels like quality, just keep in mind it requires about 7-inch clearance to open to access both the coffee basket and water reservoir, or you will have to slide it out like I do. The feet are able to slide without skipping so all is good. The filter actually works great (not typically a fan of permanent filters) and I actually use it as opposed to paper filters of which it will also accommodate. Set up is simple, but one word of caution. The pause brew feature uses a silicone piece at the bottom of the basket, and they kindly include a little bag with 2 replacements. That bag was in my water reservoir unbeknownst to me. I put water in it and saw in the window that bag float up and caught it before I started brewing coffee, as you will want to, too. They include a card explaining these extras, of which I failed to read, and see, at first. I highly recommend this machine. I feel strongly that I got the best kitchen coffee maker for the money and it looks great.”
Customer Review: “Just bought my first ever Shardor coffee maker and I am loving it! I read the reviews on this machine, just now (after my purchase), to see what others are saying and to see if I have something extra (not already mentioned) that might be helpful to someone else going thru this process. I only concentrated on the positive comments because that is what I plan to leave here. I agree with what everybody has said in the reviews except the lady who has the red one. Because I bought a black one. I purchased this Shardor (which is southern for “shower door”) coffee maker on Black Friday. Got a great value price! I looked and searched thru them all on Amazon that day. I don’t make quick purchase decisions generally (or write short reviews), and wish I would have put a timer on this purchase! Based on the length of time it took me, I am sure I made an excellent decision! A couple things sold me…the 10 cup feature vs a 12 or 14. I was moving up from a 5 cup coffee maker and I thought baby steps would be best…and have a small apt kitchen so this Shardor appeared to be the perfect size. It is too! The overall unit is the perfect size (not too big) and it is sleek in its square/rectangular shape (no weird jetties sticking out) and the 10 cup capacity and carafe are perfect. Sharp looking machine. A Super easy touch is all that is needed to begin brewing. No fumbling for a switch, just a little and very light dab will do it! (Some will get that reference). I do have to repeat and mention that the carafe pours without dripping (not one drip so far) and compared to my last one (a high end 5 cup carafe/coffee maker that no one wants on FB Mktpl) this one is so great! This feature is so nice and so appreciated. I am not only drinking a great cup of coffee with this machine, but I’m also saving on paper towel and clean up time. What else did I not want to repeat? Great cup of coffee! And drinking it out of my brand new LeCruset 400ml 14oz cream-colored coffee mug is quite the way to get the day off to a great start…and now since I have a 10 cup brewer…a great way to enjoy the evening. I have more coffee than I know what to do with with this thing! Cleans up like a dream and I find my self wiping it up and washing the parts with care after each use (so far, this will cease). I am using a paper filter in the permanent filter basket. Not sure if this is changing the flavor of the coffee…Which is great as it is… but Clean Up of the grounds is a breeze and I’m pretty sure it will preserve the life of the basket. Someone mentioned the extended two year warranty, which I’ll try to look into, so that was helpful. a negative comment that I read indicated they did not have luck with the machine lasting more than 60 days…hmmm?…while another comment I read said they’ve had it since 2020. A Covid coffee maker purchase no doubt. Anyways, I guess time will tell and I am guessing this is a well built machine, and I am decreeing and declaring that it will work and brew good tasting coffee, long into the future! I believe the company has a quality product and the extensive information on their ad was very helpful and sort of portrayed this quality image at an affordable price. The fact that they make coffee grinders and probably other things as well…is a good sign too! So far, I’m highly recommending this Shardor 10cup coffee maker!!(The clock display is fine not sure why it doesn’t come-out in the photo??? Camera shy?)”

Complete Buying Guide for Coffee Maker With Timer And Auto Shut Off
Essential Factors We Consider
When evaluating coffee makers with timer and auto shut off, we prioritize functionality, safety, and usability. Key factors include programmability range (ideally 24 hours), clarity of controls, presence of safety features like dry-burn protection, and compatibility with reusable or paper filters. Build quality—especially the carafe material—also plays a major role in longevity and heat retention.
Budget Planning
Entry-level models typically start around $25–$40 and include basic timer functions and auto shut-off. Mid-range options ($50–$80) often add features like multiple brew strengths, keep-warm plates, or touchscreens. Premium units ($100+) may offer smart connectivity, custom profiles, or advanced filtration systems. Remember: investing a little more upfront can mean fewer replacements and lower long-term costs.
Final Thoughts
A coffee maker with timer and auto shut off is more than a convenience—it’s a tool that enhances both safety and consistency in your daily routine. Whether you choose a compact 5-cup for solo sips or a spacious 12-cup for guests, look for reliable scheduling, clear indicators, and sturdy construction. Your perfect brew awaits, and the right machine makes all the difference.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How does the auto shut-off feature work?
A: Most coffee makers with timer and auto shut off automatically power down after a preset period—usually 1–2 hours—to prevent overheating and conserve energy. This happens regardless of whether brewing completed or not, ensuring safety even if forgotten on the counter.
Q: Can I still use paper filters with these models?
A: Yes! Many models, especially larger ones like the Hamilton Beach or SHARDOR, support both paper and permanent/reusable filters. Always check the manual to confirm compatibility, but rest assured most designs accommodate standard #2 drip filters.
Q: Is a 24-hour timer necessary?
A: Not always—but it adds significant convenience. If you frequently wake up late or work irregular hours, a full-day timer lets you schedule coffee precisely. For simpler routines, shorter programmable windows (like 4–6 hours) may suffice.
Q: Do all these coffee makers come with a warming plate?
A: While many do include a warming plate to keep coffee hot post-brew, not all do. Some prioritize slim designs or eco-efficiency by omitting it. Always verify this feature if maintaining temperature matters to you.
Q: Are programmable timers accurate?
A: Generally yes. Digital models tend to be more precise than analog dials, especially those with LED displays or touch interfaces. However, slight variations (±5 minutes) can occur due to ambient temperature or power fluctuations—still within acceptable ranges for home use.
Finding the best coffee maker with timer and auto shut off comes down to matching your lifestyle with the right blend of features, size, and budget. From compact single-serve units to family-sized brewers with smart controls, there’s a perfect fit waiting to kickstart your mornings safely and deliciously. Ready to upgrade your kitchen?
