Used daily every day the last 2-3 years, works fine, and no complaints except one— the “stainless steel” top lid has small rust spots appearing over the last few months. Easy to clean by hand with a soapy sponge, not intended for dishwashers (with filtered water, rarely/almost never needs cleaning anyway ). If you’re new to using electric kettles, remember after using to let the boiling-hot glass cool down completely before refilling with new (cold) water. Leaving the lid open helps it cool,faster. And, the glass is thin and very fragile. If you want an electric kettle for travel (Airbnb’s etc), get the type with a metal body, not the glass carafe type like this.’

This one had consistent positive reviews and was a good price so decided to try one. It is very easy to use and does up to 7 cups (more than my daily needs, but good to have just in case). The heat up time is fast and it’ll auto shut-off too. It does have a blue light at the base when it heating which helps at a quick glance. Everything functions well and the build seems to be pretty solid. I really like the fact there is no direct water contact with plastic parts (lid/etc), really prevents the water smelling like plastic. I used it for about 7 days before trying to clear the build up of deposits (wasn’t very bad, just prefer to have clean glass). Did the Baking Powder method, sort of worked but might have been the old powder + lack of soak time. So tried Vinegar the next time and that seems to work really well! The build up probably depends on your water source, I’m just using tap water – nothing fancy. Very happy with the purchase and would purchase again or gift one to another. :)”

Customer Review: “This is a very nice kettle. It’s a large capacity, has a nice design with very easy to use moden button design. It heats up with great speed quietly and works very well for how our family uses the kettle. While we don’t have any infants, the lowest temp works very well for my bread making and it’s quick warm up makes my dough making faster. There is no black tea setting, so we use boil for that,as well as for making humming bird nectar for the humming bird feeders. We do drink green tea so the specific setting will be nice to have and I’m interested in seeing if there is a difference in flavor using a lower setting for that specific type of tea. We have not tried Oolong tea before. I’d never heard of that, but now I’ll be getting some and test out that temperature as well. The coffee setting would likely be used on occasion when we are using our French Press. We don’t have one of those slow drip set ups, but that would be a great use for it. We have a Ninja Coffee system and we have a fancy coffee machine. But my husband and some visiting family members do like the old school mehods so that setting will eventually get used. I also do use steaming water in my baking, like a water bath for various recipes including custards, cheesecake and French bread. I’d originally purchased a pricey goose neck kettle on Amazon and it was so tiny. I returned it because it didn’t sit flush on the base and teetered. But I would have returned it anyway because it was too small for the uses intended, those I listed above. If you are looking for a large kettle that is also multi functional for your kitchen chores, this is a great one. You definitely get more bang for your buck. I think you get more value for the price.”

I don’t strain to read it or figure out what the display intends because it’s pictures and writing. Its easy to fill, easy to use, boils timely, you can sit the kettle on the base in any direction, the cord can be wrapped up under the base to expose just the length you need or tucked away all together. Its so easy to clean. I absolutely love that the interior is one sleek piece covering the whole inside including the heating element as well as the pour spout. Hot water is not exposed to any plastic parts – which is only on the exterior- no plastic on the interior of the spout nor the rim. Yes, it’s not the quitest when it’s getting up to a boil and the lid only opens 1/2 way when you press the button to open the lid but that has not been an issue. To open the lid fully you have to push it the rest of the way manually which I thought would be weird with hot water in it but I have never had the need to ever have to do that when there has been hot water in it. I just like this kettle so much that neither of those things are a big deal to me.”
