Customer Review: This is a review for the WPffvv Pineapple Upside Down Cake Pan that was listed at $16.99 at the time of purchase.I used a regular Duncan Heinz boxed cake mix, canned drained pineapple rings, and jarred Maraschino cherries. I sprayed the inside of the pan with Bakers Joy and the recipe said to bake for 34-36 minutes. At around the 36 minute mark the edges were getting kinda dark so I checked the middle with a toothpick and it wasnt done and still pretty jiggly in the center when Id move it around. I reset for 3 more minutes and it was smoking quite a bit and the butter in the bottom of the pan was boiling up and over the edge a bit. The toothpick in the center looked to be clean so I went ahead and took it out. I let it cool for about 20 minutes and went I went back in to flip it over onto the plate, the center had sunk! Not a lot as in ruined cake but enough to be disappointing. It came out of the pan perfectly and i let it cool for about 45 minutes and cut into it. The center was pretty soupy at the bottom but not as bad above that. I plan to just spoon out what isnt done and make note to leave it in about 15 minutes more next time. I had baked it on the top shelf and maybe it should have been on the bottom, but it hadnt said so it was just a judgment call. So in summation I cant say if maybe the Carbon Steel that its made of had anything to do with it or if maybe the temperature is off in my oven. What I do know though is the cake turned out very nice looking using this pan, and I will definitely not hesitate to make another one to test the baking time again.
