The length long enough to accommodate the cob now trembling in fear for they knew not what was about to graze their maize. I held the corn on one end, the other seated onto my plate, gripped the peeler and the end fit the curve of the cob perfectly. With one fell swoop I pushed the peeler down the side of the cob, with a force I probably didn’t need to impress upon the unsuspecting vegetable as I was met with what I can only describe as a literal wake of corn spraying off of the cob and the peeler from either side. In my opinion, it can even be dangerous if you don’t leave part of the stalk attached to the cob in order to keep your hands safely away from the edge of the blade. You want to avoid holding the cob while removing the kernels. My wife couldn’t get the cutter to slice and when I tried to use it, the cutter slid toward my thumb, resulting in a 1″ cut on my thumb. We immediatly went back to using a sharp kitchen knife. I would not recommend it to anyone.”
