Customer Reviews

“I had a Zephyr wine cooler for a few years and the build quality was quite good. I figured I would give their microwave a try. The stainless finish on the microwave is nice. All the buttons are responsive and easy to use. Happy customer. no complains.”

“The microwave fit the space we had to fill. The controls are very easy to navigate and overall we’re happy with the microwave. We’ve been using it for two months and the only negative is that it’s much noisier than other microwaves we’ve had over the years. Since we’re usually just warming things for a few minutes, it’s not bad enough to be a big deal – just annoying.”

Customer Reviews

“Microwave works well. The 1200 watt rating seems accurate, had to adjust cooking times compared to my old 950 watt Microwave.”

“My wife had decided to remodel our kitchen and wanted a microwave cubby instead of an over the range or countertop type. The cubby would not take a countertop microwave with trim easily enough, so I went with this Summit microwave set. It is a top notch microwave and worth every penny (almost).I will say that I did not install it, so I cannot speak to the easy of installation. Our contractor installed it and said it was pretty straight forward, so take that as you will. The materials seem to be high quality and everything. The microwave itself is fairly quiet compared to most I have heard and used over the decades. My wife and daughter were not sure it was on when they first used it. It was working and does cook quickly. The microwave provides 1200 watts and is 2.2 cu ft inside (large enough to fit a turkey in it). There are tons of buttons that have been pretty standard over the years on the control panel. The 30-second add on button is the same as the Start button on this model. I know that design decision saved space for other buttons, but I would have preferred a separate button like others I have used. The start button could wear out more depending on your usage. Also, the clock is a green color just in case you are wondering. All microwaves made in the past decade seem to have a child lock feature now that is pretty annoying, but at least this model allows you to disable it forever. Some other microwaves reset after a power outage, but not this one. The manual and a separate card tell you how to disable the child lock forever. It can be enabled again if needed later on.The trim piece is of pretty good quality as well and screws into the cupboard around the microwave. I will say that another review stated a gap appeared around the microwave unlike the picture showing a tight fit. I agree with that review as I do have a 1 inch gap on the left and right sides (see pictures). The gaps are symmetrical and not really standing out to anyone, so I think it is fine. But I see where someone could be disappointed with the look. Not sure if that gap is purposeful to allow venting and prevent fire hazards.Overall, I would highly recommend this unit if you need a microwave to put into a cabinet. It is quiet, powerful, feature rich, and looks good. The cost is a bit much (seems to be those trim pieces based on my research), but know that you do get quality for the price.”

“I really like this GE microwave. After two days of searching, I rested on the GE, because it had all of the features I was looking for. Complete Buying Guide for Wall Oven With Microwave And Warming Drawer

Essential Factors We Consider

When evaluating wall oven with microwave and warming drawer models, we prioritize build quality, cooking versatility, and ease of use. Key considerations include wattage (higher = faster cooking), interior capacity (measured in cubic feet), installation type (built-in vs. countertop), and additional features like convection, inverter technology, or smart sensors. Durability of materials—especially stainless steel exteriors and non-stick interiors—also plays a major role in long-term satisfaction.

Budget Planning

Entry-level countertop microwaves start around $100, while premium built-in combos can exceed $2,000. Mid-range options ($300–$700) often deliver the best value, balancing features and price. Remember to factor in installation costs for built-in models and potential upgrades like trim kits or venting systems. Always check for rebates or bundle deals from manufacturers.

Final Thoughts

Choosing the right wall oven with microwave and warming drawer depends on your kitchen layout, cooking habits, and budget. Whether you prioritize space savings, multi-functionality, or luxury finishes, there’s a model here to fit your needs. Focus on reputable brands with positive user feedback and consider future maintenance before deciding.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I install a wall oven with microwave and warming drawer myself?

A: While some countertop models are plug-and-play, built-in units typically require professional installation due to electrical, ventilation, and cabinetry requirements. Always consult a qualified technician for safety and warranty compliance.

Q: How do I clean the interior of my microwave oven?

A: Most microwaves feature easy-clean non-stick liners. For tougher spills, heat a bowl of water with lemon juice for 3–5 minutes to loosen residue, then wipe with a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive scrubbers that damage coatings.

Q: Are built-in microwaves louder than countertop models?

A: Not necessarily. Many modern built-ins—like the Zephyr and Summit models—use insulated enclosures and quiet motors. Noise levels depend more on wattage and design than installation type.

Q: What’s the difference between sensor cooking and preset menus?

A: Sensor cooking automatically detects food moisture and adjusts time/power for optimal results. Preset menus are fixed programs for common foods (e.g., popcorn). Sensors offer greater precision, while presets prioritize convenience.

Q: Do I need a dedicated circuit for my wall oven with microwave?

A: Yes—most built-in electric wall ovens and microwaves require a 240V dedicated circuit. Gas wall ovens use standard 120V outlets. Consult an electrician to confirm your home’s wiring meets code.

Upgrading to a wall oven with microwave and warming drawer transforms your kitchen workflow, combining efficiency with elegance. From compact countertop units to luxury built-ins, the right choice enhances both usability and aesthetics. Use this guide to compare features, assess your space, and invest wisely in an appliance that grows with your lifestyle. Ready to find your match?
