I was getting so tired of my coffee getting cold. This thing is awesome. I’m not sure if I love the big button in the middle that the cup sits on because I think it might wear out, however, it’s a nice safety feature. If something isn’t depressing the button in the middle it pauses the heating function although it does take a while to cool off. You can turn it off by the button on the panel too but again, it takes a few minutes to cool off. I like that it has different temperatures. I find the setting of 131⁰ is perfect for my coffee. My mouth is too sensitive for hotter than that but it’s sure nice not having my coffee at yucky room temperature. This is Goldilocks, just right.

Plugged it and put my ceramic cup on it and I set up the temp at 140f and it kept my coffee nice and hot.So,so far so good .The construction is on the cheap side compared to my other one for the same price but it does the job so no complaint at all so far.I’ll update if anything change.Still a very good warmer,in a matter of fact I lowered the setting to122f and it’s PERFECT.So yes I definitively would buy it again, 5 STARS *****and I bought 2 more .

Since I often hold the cup bottom in my hand or lap while thinking about what I’m doing on the computer (or just daydreaming), this could be disconcerting.Curious, I measured the surface temperature on the 3 settings using a laser infrared temperature sensor (not medical thermometer) [Kizen Infrared Temperature Gun – Handheld Surface Infrared Thermometer https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07VSHR9M6]. Given the known problems with using such a device in terms of calibration, distance and positioning, this was just for comparative measurements. Also, I didn’t make multiple measurements to average experimental variation.. too lazy now that I’m retired from lab work.This confirmed my burnt-finger test that the center gets very hot and tapers off towards the edge (see picture).Interestingly, there was not much difference in the equilibrium temperature (what it settles down to after an hour or so). The graph in the picture shows how it heats quickly and then adjusts with time; I assume this is a design choice and a good one, since it gets you going quickly before coming down to a more moderate temperature.Some other observations:* The memory feature is good, but… the way it works is this. you set the desired temperature (let’s say 150) by repeatedly pressing the power button and wait 10 seconds to allow it to remember the setting. Then if it turns off automatically after a time out, the next time you press the power button, it starts with your remembered setting (i.e. 150ºF). But .. if you want to turn it off manually, you have to push the button twice (in this example) in succession because the first press selects the next temperature (130). If your desired setting is 130ºF, no worry.* As other reviewers have noted, the pressure needed to work the push button switches is hard enough that it moves the whole unit unless you use two hands (one to hold the unit); also it’s hard to tell where the button is unless you look from the side (front). I fixed this by placing it on a polymer trivet (see picture).* Cosmetic issue that doesn’t affect its use. After some use, I noticed residues from dripping coffee. (this is visible in the picture). A fresh spill is easily cleaned with a damp cloth (after cooling of course), but after a while, it can get baked into a hard layer that defies easy cleaning. I didn’t want to use an abrasive cleaner on the ceramic top. But, remembering an old geezer trick for cleaning your windshield, I used a single-edge razor blade to carefully scrape off the gunk. There was still a little stuck around the embossed lettering.Here’s what I did to tame the beast.1. I took a metal cooking grate [“HARFINGTON Round Cooking Rack 6-inch 201 Stainless Steel Cross Wire Barbecue Grill Net with 20mm Legs..” https://wwwamazon.com/dp/B0C9LPVP8X] and ground off the legs to provide a convex surface above the heating block (picture). With this setup, the cup bottom gets warm-to-hot but not burning hot and yet keeps the contents warm.2. I marked the position of the power switch with a dab of White-Out© so it’s visible from the top.I also placed the unit on a trivet to keep it from sliding (another reviewer did this to insulate the bottom from the table).The last picture shows the final setup.

The media could not be loaded. This is a great mug! I keep mine charged and ready to use. I tend to drink my coffee or tea way too fast because I want it hot. I do watercolor or acrylic painting and can’t have a hot drink to sip and enjoy while I need something to dry or to calculate my next move in my painting.Where I work looks like a bit like a mess and I don’t have access to a plugin closer than 3′ away. Plus I have so many tubes of paint or supplies I don’t want the charger on the table with me. I love this because I have the base on a coffee bar nearby and can keep the cup charged and ready to go.Because the battery is in the cup it stays charged for a long time and doesn’t need to sit on the base except when charging.It keeps the drink nice and warm or hot. I love it.The other feature that I admit I don’t use as often is the heating option. I have at times needed the milk warmed a bit more in a latte and I can just adjust the temp until it’s where I want it. I’ve found it doesn’t take long to heat up.They have made it very easy to use. There is a power button in the lower front of the cup and a light turns on under the heat selection you want. It has 3 settings, warm, hot and piping. I have never used piping. Warm and hot have always been sufficient. But if you like piping hot this cup will deliver.While I am personally happy that the cup has the battery at the bottom of it, it can make washing it a pain. I use a squirt of the spray dawn on a washcloth to wipe it down inside and the rim. I am careful as I rinse it. I just use a plain damp cloth lightly on the outside if it needs it.I have had this cup for a few weeks now and it has really changed having a latte for me. I used to race to finish my hot drink before it cools too much. I hate getting up and down to microwave my coffee all the time. Now I don’t need to do that. Let me start by saying I LOVE my cup warmer. It does the job. It keeps my coffee HOT!!BUT, to the manufacturer I say, it needs some tweaking.First, let’s talk about the temp range.The plate temp goes from 130°f to 180°f. The 180 is great for steeping tea with room temp water. I use it often to make peppermint tea, and then turn the temp down to keep it warm.The improvement is needed on the low end. I find 130 to be tongue-burning hot and suggest that the low temp should go down to about 110°f for those who want their drink warm but not scorching.Also, the mug it comes with needs a redesign for the lid. The slide cannot be removed making it extremely difficult to get the lid properly cleaned.The next bit is more of an FYI info warning for customers.Before buying this product, I specifically asked the AI if it would work with my Yeti mag-slide Rambler (metal bottom) cups. It said yes. It lied. This product will NOT warm up the contents of a Yeti Rambler. In fact, I have found that it works great with the mug it comes with but not much else. ( Note: I have not tried it with a ceramic cup, but imagine it would wok fine but leave the cup itself extremely hot.)The provided cup also comes with a silicone mat, that I haven’t used yet, and a hard plastic bottom that attaches to the bottom of the cup. You will need to use the plastic bottom when the cup is not on the heater otherwise the mug bottom will wick away the heat of the liquid in the cup.Overall, a good product that works fine, with adjustable temp and ON times from 1 hour to 12 hours. I’m my opinion, worth the cost to have coffee that stays hot in the winter.

I bought this to replace one I’d had for more than 25 years & I’m glad I got this one. Keeps my hot drinks hot for hours & will shut off after that. Quickly heats back up when needed. Very sleek looking. Easy to set up. Just take it out of the box & plug it in.

This coffee warmer is much better than the candle warmer that I was using for my coffee before. With a range of 3 temperatures, I have a choice of temperatures from hot to very, very hot, and the warmer shuts itself off after a while, just in case I forget. The description advises that ceramic cups do not retain heat as well as flat-bottomed cups, but I have not found that to be a problem. Coffee in my ceramic mug stays as hot as I want it to be. The knob on the side makes this warmer easy to turn on and to select a temperature, plus I feel that it is a good value.
