“The Ninja Professional Plus Blender has easily become my go-to appliance in the kitchen. It’s powerful, versatile, and handles everything from smoothies to nut butters with ease. The motor is strong — even frozen fruit and ice blend smoothly without chunks.Setup and cleanup are both simple. The pitcher is sturdy and dishwasher-safe, which makes cleanup much less of a chore. I’ve used it for smoothies, sauces, and crushing ice for cocktails, and it performs consistently well every time. For the performance and durability, it’s an excellent value compared to other high-end blenders. Whether you’re a daily smoothie drinker or just want something reliable for various kitchen tasks, this blender delivers. Highly recommended!”

“It does the job and it does it well. It can handle frozen things to make a smoothie. It’s probably the largest blender I’ve owned, which I’m okay with though it’s a little larger than I need. The blades are tough. They create the smoothie quickly. No leaks so far. In terms of downsides, be very careful around the blades. With the blades extending up through the center of the pitcher, it is easy to get cut. Also, it can be a little tough to arrange the frozen items around the center blade. But as long as you are careful, this works really well.”

Customer Reviews

“This thing is AWESOME! It cuts everything up like a beast. I make smoothies and some veggies are frozen and some I dethaw before I blend so a mix of frozen and soft all in the blender and due to this fact I blend it twice. First I throw my spices in, frozen veggies/fruits then dethawed veggies and it just figures it out and blends then stops, blends then stops, blends and stops 😀 because it feels the frozen stuff on the bottom so it stops for a second or two so the frozen stuff falls back down in the blender then repeats. Love it. But I noticed my spinach wasn’t being cut up as much as I like so now I blend it 2 times and perfect. It is extremely easy to clean just spray it down. The blade section does come out for easy cleaning too. Compared to my old blender (20 yrs old but still looks new) this thing is so much quicker and user friendly. I am absolutely in love with it and I am not wasting a lot of my time like I did with the old blender. I can make 2.5 days of smoothies in 15 minutes … 4 of those minutes is blending the rest is me getting everything I need out to throw in it. The size is great! With my old blender I had to make 2 blender size of it to get 2.5 days of smoothies now I just throw everything in and get it done in no time. Big difference from 1 hour+ to 15 minutes. Also it does have suction cups on the bottom of the blender so I can literally throw everything in it and walk away to prepare the next step in my routine for the smoothies. With my old blender I would throw a dish towel in front of the blender under the footers to stop it from moving forward which was annoying and just another step. This is just the best blender ever. Love it and would buy again and again so highly recommended. Just keep in mind if you are blending a mix of frozen and fresh/dethawed stuff .. make sure you throw in the frozen stuff first to blend properly or you’ll have some frozen berries or whatever left at the top so frozen first and you’ll be all good. Enjoy!”

“This is the best blender I’ve ever owned. The motor is very strong, crushes ice easily. I’ve read some think the pitcher is flimsy, but I don’t agree. This blender mixes our protein drinks perfectly!”

Customer Reviews

“We’ve been using the Vitamix Propel 750 almost every day for smoothies as part of trying to lose weight, and it’s been great. It’s been over 2 months now and we’ve actually seen results, which helped us stay consistent. The smoothies come out super smooth—no chunks at all, even with frozen fruit. It’s really powerful and blends everything quickly. I also like that it has 6 preset modes, and the self-cleaning mode is super convenient. It gets most of the leftover bits out, so it’s much easier to just rinse or give it a quick wash after. It is a bit loud, but that’s expected for something this powerful. It’s definitely on the expensive side, but you can tell the quality is different compared to cheaper blenders we’ve used before. For how often we use it, it feels worth it.Overall, we’re really happy with it and use it way more than we expected.”

“It was probably a decade ago that I first heard about Vitamix from a coworker. He bought one for his wife for Xmas. After some research, I determined it was WAYYYY out of my budget. Many years later, older, and more health-conscious, I started making smoothies with a NutriBullet. It’s super-compact but struggled with blending frozen fruit and ice. The ingredients will get stuck, and the engine struggled.I’ve even had a Breville blender which was still $200 and didn’t do much better of a job. Finally, I took the leap and purchased one when I caught news it was on sale. Finally, I can afford it.Okay, let’s see what all the hype is about. I really liked how there were presets for each type of blending with preset variable speed cycles and timer. Don’t forget the proper layering of smoothie ingredients – the different cycling in the program. The cycle starts off slow to mix the liquid and greens. Once the bed of greens liquifies, the rest of the ingredients sink down into the blade. Once the blade reaches the frozen ingredients, the engine revs up and cuts through everything. You can feel the strength of the motor because anything lightweight behind the blender is sent flying. Even the chia seeds got obliterated. It is overall the perfect kitchen appliance – engineering at its finest. Did you ever wonder why the pitchers are so narrow and tall – making it difficult to store on the countertop under most kitchen cabinets. The reason behind this befuddling feature is that with a narrow pitcher, the ingredients will come into contact with the blade more. The type of plastic the pitcher was made of dries super-fast. I LOVE that. Ditto for the lid. The lid has a dome shape. Not certain of the purpose. The material rinses very very well and easily. Overall, I am ecstatic with my purchase. One thing of note is ALWAYS peel your produce. I got lazy one day and did not peel the apple skin. The Vitamix really struggled. I had to run the smoothie program twice. I’m afraid it would be bad for the blender. With the high price tag, I must treat this appliance carefully.I’ve noticed the feet on the blender left gray smudges on the white countertop. I started using a mat underneath to protect my counters.”

“Such a great unit. Love that it just mows through just about anything I throw at it. Processor is amazing, smoothies come out perfect, and the blender makes a killer margarita (add egg whites to make them fluffy). Lids don’t leak, and the customer service was awesome when I’m my first one would not get power to the unit. Worth it in the long run, but this one, not an underpowered POS. Sad I didn’t buy one sooner.”

“I’ve been buying ninjas for at least 12 or 13 years and this one does not disappoint. Sharp blades, efficient even with ice or frozen bananas and sturdy. I have to say when my daughter went off to college I found a ninja smoothie version of this at Walmart and it was cheaper plastic and cheaper components and broke her first year there. I still think these companies make cheaper versions of their stuff for big box stores so that they can sell it at a lower price. This purchase was a quality ninja product.”

Customer Reviews

“There is an old saying, \”I Hate You Sometimes, But I Love You Always\” One has to be married a few years to fully understand that statement. My wife makes smoothies for her breakfast on a daily basis. I previously purchased this same exact blender for her back in 2020. For some unknown reason, she feels this need to assist the blender, by attempting to stir the contents a little while the blender is running. As is not uncommon, she ignored my cautions. In doing so, she accidentally dropped a stainless steel spoon in the blender while it was running. After the explosive sound of incoming shrapnel subsided, we were left with a spoon and a blender that were totally destroyed. She liked this now deceased blender, better than any that she had used. Thus I set out to order her a replacement. Unfortunately, this model had been discontinued. I ordered it 3 times from Amazon and others, only to have them cancel the order because it was no longer unavailable. Fast forward a year later to November 2025, somehow, Amazon had them again. I immediately ordered one. My wife almost did a happy dance when it showed up.This blender just does a fabulous job. The blade configuration is exceptional. It also auto reverses will running. This back-and-forth feature, pulls the contents down in to the blades for better mixing. It also makes it unnecessary to stir it with a spoon while running. (smiling) The jar portion is heavy glass, making it more durable and easier to clean. It has a powerful motor and numerous settings for various applications. This machine is a winner. It does not disappoint. Also, being an Oster brand, one can easily find parts for it.”

“This blender has plenty of power. I use it almost every day to make my morning smoothies. It does bog down a bit when I use too many frozen fruit pieces. But that is my operation error. As with any blender, the amount of liquid vs the amount of food to be blended must be correct. I love, love the glass blending jar. This is the main purpose of choosing this blender. I try to eliminate as much plastics from my life as I can. The blender also comes with a plastic travel smoothie cup that you can attach to the blending blade and blend your smoothie right in the cup. The travel cup has a travel lid with sip spout. I haven’t used the plastic cup and most likely won’t, but it would be useful if you do not have an aversion to plastics. This blender is a bit loud. It is very loud and ear splitting on high and part of the smoothy function. I use that speed briefly, but daily. I have been using this blender for over 5 months and it still works as good as the first time. I purchased this to replace my older Oster blender that could not keep up with all the frozen fruit. That blender, too, had a glass blending jar. I looked at some of the more popular brands but passed due to the plastic blending jar. I am happy with my purchase.”

10. Ninja Foodi Personal Blender 1200W, Hybrid Blades, (2) 24oz Cups & 14oz Bowl Maker

Ninja Foodi Personal Blender 1200W, Hybrid Blades, (2) 24oz Cups & 14o

  • Two personal cups included – Great for on-the-go smoothies
  • Hybrid blade system – Extracts nutrients efficiently
  • Auto-iQ presets – Simplifies drink preparation

Why We Recommend It

If you’re tired of making full-pitcher smoothies when you only need one serving, this is a game-changer. It blends faster than most single-serve models and produces Vitamix-level smoothness.

Single-serve users, travelers, and fitness enthusiasts who want convenience without sacrificing quality.

Pros and Cons

Pros:
  • Compact and portable
  • High blend quality
  • Includes travel cups
  • Easy to clean
Cons:
  • Lighter base may slide
  • Loud operation
  • Not ideal for large families

Customer Reviews

“The media could not be loaded. TLDR: this blender is comparable to a Vitamix E310 in terms of blend quality, and is in some ways easier to use. Read below for my smoothie journey and how I settled on this being my preferred blender.I’ve used a couple of different blenders over the last couple years, including a Vitamix E310, a magic bullet and a nutribullet. The Vitamix was great, but just too big for my needs. I normally make single serve smoothies/bowls for just myself, and don’t require a super large container to make multiple smoothies. The magic bullet was undoubtedly the worst blender, with only a 250 watt motor It really struggles to make anything using frozen fruit or ice. The nutribullet was better, but it required some babysitting as you had to shake the container to distribute the fruit when it gets stuck at the top.So now I’m here, I haven’t tried ninja blenders before and I did quite a bit of research before settling on this one specifically. Ninja does have more expensive blenders that come with a larger container as an added bonus, however during my research I have found that the larger containers for this brand seem to perform worse than the smaller single use containers. The reason comes down to the blades, the larger one uses 3 separate blades that “chop” everything up, where as the smaller containers use a more traditional blender blade system that blends things nicely. I was also intrigued by the bowl attachment, as it is similar to how Vitamix uses the tamp to distribute items more evenly. So I bought it, and it works fantastic. I’ve attached a short video where you can see a bowl I created with the bowl attachment, and 2 smoothies blending. The video really shows how well the blender is able to mix frozen items without supervision. It just does it, no babysitting required. The smoothie bowl attachment does require you to twist it, but only for 30 seconds (which I think is doable considering how great the consistency is)Also somewhat surprisingly, it blends leafy greens like kale or spinach perfectly without leaving clumps. Only the Vitamix was ever able to do this for me, so I’m happy to have found a blender that is able to do this in single serve fashion. For this to work well you need to use the extract button. At the time of writing this review it’s $69, and I’m pretty sure this is the best blender you can get for that price. Even at its normal selling price I’d still buy it considering how well it works. The only potential downsides to this blender include:1) it’s pretty light, and it can just hop around the counter if the suction feet aren’t attached properly. Try to get the feet a little wet and clean the counter before setting it down to avoid this.2) it’s a ninja, I don’t think this brand is exactly known for product longevity but I guess I’ll have to see how it holds up. Build quality is overall good but not up to Vitamix standards of course.3) It’s loud, like I’m pretty sure you will wake up everyone within a 500 ft radius if you are blending at 6 am. Don’t be that person. That’s about it for this long review, I’m not sure why I spent the time writing this out but I think it’s good for a product like this to get the recognition It deserves. 5 stars, just buy it.”

“I bought this blender because I wanted to make meal replacement shakes/smoothies as a quick lunch, since I work from home. I searched and searched for something affordable, but also powerful. I could not afford those $300+ blenders, so I went to Ninja. I have heard great things about their products, and the majority of the reviews are positive. So I buy the blender, it arrives, I can’t wait to use it. I read about the reviews that said it is \”SO LOUD\” and like yeah, it is loud, but it honestly wasn’t that bad. My husband slept through it, and I used it in the kitchen, 25 feet from our closed bedroom door. I wouldn’t use it around a newborn baby, but my cats were okay with it. I just threw a couple dish towels over it to dampen the noise. But listen, for power of this kind, it’s a worthy trade off. When I tell you this bad boy blended everything I threw at it, I am not kidding in the slightest. Chia seeds? Dust. Frozen fruit? Obliterated. Ice cubes? Chunks be gone. It has made the most delightfully creamy and, well, smooth smoothies I have ever had in my life. It has preset options for what you’re blending, but also has a pulse option. I used it for smoothies, but this would make amazing margaritas, daiquiris, dips, spreads, dressings, you name it. I love that it comes with multiple cups and lids, and it is very easy to clean. The base is small, so I can leave it on my counter or on a shelf without taking up much room. If you need a new blender, and want one that will crush anything, get this one. Your standard pitcher blender will be put to shame. It simply cannot do what this Ninja can. I have been missing out all this time with lumpy, bumpy, and chunky beverages from my old blender. No longer will I be plagued by having to chew my drink! I highly recommend getting this blender if you need a new one, or are in the market for some quality smoothies and drinks. It is absolutely worth it!”

Complete Buying Guide for Best Blenders Compared

Essential Factors We Consider

When evaluating the best blenders for powerful performance, we focus on several key criteria. Motor power (measured in watts or peak watts) determines how well the blender handles tough ingredients like ice and nuts. Blade quality and design affect blending efficiency—look for stainless steel, multi-blade systems. Capacity should match your usage: single-serve blenders work for individuals, while family-sized models (64–72 oz) suit households. Additional features like preset programs, self-cleaning modes, and jar materials (glass vs. plastic) also influence usability and longevity.

Budget Planning

You don’t need to spend $500 to get excellent performance. Entry-level models like the Hamilton Beach 58148A offer reliable blending for under $100, while mid-range options such as the Ninja TB201 deliver near-professional results for around $150. Premium choices like the Vitamix Propel justify their higher price with unmatched durability and consistency. Consider how often you’ll use the blender and what tasks you’ll prioritize—this helps determine the best value within your budget.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What wattage is considered powerful for a blender?

A: Generally, blenders with 1000W or more are considered high-powered. Models above 1200W, like the Ninja Professional Plus or Vitamix Propel, can handle ice, frozen fruit, nuts, and even hot soups with ease. Lower-wattage models (under 700W) may struggle with tough ingredients.

Q: Can I make nut butter in these blenders?

A: Yes, several models on this list—including the Ninja Professional Plus, Vitamix Propel, and 3.5HP Heavy Duty Blender—can make nut butter. However, it requires longer blending times and occasionally stopping to scrape down sides. Cheaper models may not have enough power or heat management for this task.

Q: Are glass jars better than plastic ones?

A: Glass jars are generally more durable, scratch-resistant, and free from chemical leaching concerns. They’re also easier to clean and maintain. Plastic pitchers are lighter and less prone to cracking but may degrade over time with repeated heating (e.g., hot soups).

Q: How do I clean my blender effectively?

A: Most blenders have removable blades and dishwasher-safe parts. For quick cleaning, fill the jar halfway with warm water and a drop of dish soap, run the blender for 30 seconds, then rinse. Some models, like the Vitamix Propel, even have a built-in self-cleaning program.

Q: Which blender is best for making green smoothies?

A: Any blender with strong suction and precise speed control works well. The Ninja Foodi Personal Blender and Vitamix Propel are particularly effective at pulverizing leafy greens without leaving clumps, thanks to their aggressive blade designs and powerful motors.

Finding the best blender for powerful performance doesn’t have to be overwhelming. With the right balance of motor power, capacity, and smart features, you can enjoy smooth, consistent results whether you’re whipping up morning smoothies, creamy sauces, or frozen cocktails.
