- Energy-efficient 1400-watt heating element
Cons:
- Cannot operate oven and burners simultaneously due to high wattage draw
- Design flaw with rotisserie interfering with upper rack placement
- Build quality feels less premium than higher-end models
Customer Reviews
“I have used many of these types of oven over the years and the best feature for this one is the top burners. Very convenient for use in my RV. Even though you can’t used both the oven and the burners (way too many watts required for that) you can start the oven and let it warm up, then switch to the burners, cook whatever and use the oven as a warmer, especially on cooler days at camp. Other features I like is the ability to only use the upper or lower elements for cooking. Sometimes I just want to broil. I bought an aluminum grill top for use on the burners. This turns it into a grill also. What I don’t like is more of a design flaw. The rotisserie connections inside the oven are in the way of the groove for the top most rack. I have to shove the rack in if I want to broil something close to the elements. Overall, although this oven is not as large as my other ones, it is perfect for my RV.” – Robert D., RV owner
“Better than what I thought it would be. Heats quick and cooks even. Almost no noise while running. Would happily recommend to others. Thank you for an amazing appliance.” – Linda S., first-time buyer

Customer Reviews
“What can I say. It’s a microwave and it works as it should, but one of my favorite features is that you can change the volume of the beeps and noises. I wake up earlier than the rest of the family, so having these quieter alerts makes it nice so I don’t have to wake up the rest of the house cooking my breakfast. It fits exactly where the old one used to and was easy to install with the help of one other person to hold it in place for mounting. The interior is very easy to clean.I sometimes use different power levels other than just full blast, and the way to adjust the power levels is a little different than what I was used to, but after I figured it out it was an easy adjustment for me. The LED interior light makes it nice and bright inside, and overall a great value for the features that are included.” – Patricia W., satisfied user
“Works great, really happy with it. Some other reviewers complained about the plug. It’s a non-issue. Either replace your existing receptacle if you have to or installed in a new kitchen install the correct receptacle. A microwave should be on a dedicated 20A circuit anyway, but it would be fine on 15A it only draws 8 on 120V power. I cut off the plug and hardwired mine it’s inside a cabinet anyway. For half the price of a similar product from a name brand this one is working really well.” – James M., DIY installer

Customer Reviews
“First, I love that this does not heat my kitchen like my oven does. The preheat time is fast, and cooking time is also fast. I haven’t tried any of the programs. I started with a few of the included recipes, which I followed to the letter, then I started experimenting with those recipes to see how they work with other foods. The grilled asparagus recipe is an excellent one to start with. My asparagus came out wonderfully, but I found it is good to keep an eye on doneness until I understand how this oven works. After the asparagus, I tried salmon with the same method and it was perfect. As were the hamburgers and then meatloaf I tried next. I think one good point to this oven is that there is no one correct way to make anything. I really like the grill – it cooks quickly and efficiently. I suggest learning how to adjust the temp of the upper and lower elements – that is important if a food seems to be cooking too fast on top or on bottom. I have since baked cookies – they cooked in about 7 minutes per batch. French toast is amazing as was bread pudding. Get the hang of a few of the included recipes and then go from there.I even made really good 5 minute a day artisan bread. I have a small vintage Descoware Dutch oven that fits into the Nuwave oven. I baked a small loaf in the Nuwave exactly as I would in my regular oven and the bread was excellent. And I didn’t overheat my house. The oven isn’t complicated. I know there are an overwhelming number of ways to set it, and too many programs, and it all seems intimidating, but really, take the time to go over the instructions and understand what does what. I doubt I will ever use any of the programs – it is too easy to set it to bake, or roast, or airfry and then set time and temp, and maybe the top or bottom elements. I just check for doneness occasionally and it is so easy. That it will hold at very low temps is a real bonus to me. I like to make tempeh and finding anything that will hold a temp below 100 is amazing. Also, it is not huge – I have a smaller home and this fits on my counter without overwhelming anything. But I still have a lot of room inside to do about anything I want to. It does get hot, but I don’t touch the top or sides when I use it and it doesn’t radiate a lot of heat into the space around it.On the con side, I don’t think this is the best airfryer that I have ever had – my old Paula Dean airfryer beats this hands down. It’s okay, but I think its power is in replacing my huge oven for all those baking, roasting and toasting tasks. I also am not impressed with the rack that comes with it. I read reviews that said that rack is not really sturdy and I have to agree. With light foods it’s fine, but I had a casserole on that rack and the weight made the rack sag and it fell out of its slots on the side of the oven. The company I bought this oven from responded immediately to my request for a new rack (excellent customer service!!) but it did the same thing, so I have to say it is a design error. But this is not a deal breaker. This oven is too good, so I will always use the air fryer basket/rack for heavy things and the regular racks for light things. That’s just not a big deal.I am somewhat a gourmet cook, and I am so pleased with what I can do with this oven. Just be patient with it. I now use it pretty much every day and I would recommend it.” – Susan P., experienced cook
“I really like this oven, it’s easy to use, has a smaller footprint, it’s great for a countertop, and cooks the food quickly. I had a small learning curve, this oven cooks the food quicker than my former oven, so you might have to adjust time/temp while learning how it operates. I haven’t tried the air fryer yet, but I will. There is also a very nice cookbook that comes with the oven, and I use it to adjust time/temp with my regular recipes. I did have an issue with overcooking a pizza. I used the box instructions instead of just letting the smart oven take over…my bad. I like the looks of it and ease of use…very happy with the product and feel I did receive good value for the price I paid.” – Robert H., first-time user

Customer Reviews
“I obsessed over the choice between this one and the top rated breville. Price played a part but the extensive positive reviews made this my choice. It is truly excellent. I don’t know how they could make it any better! Clean looking exterior and well lit and functional interior. The only issue I had was with using the top two slot for tray. Nowhere does it tell you that there is a left side bracket (that prevents the tray from falling down). This bracket prevents you from pushing in or using those slots unless you insert it partway then lift the rack around this stop. I love it now that hubby figured out that problem. The broil tray is coated with nice amt of non stick material. It heats up quickly and so far everything has come out crispy and pretty true to time expected. The presets are same as menu book but I don’t see a treason to use them as it is quite easy to change settings as you need them. It is very easy to clean if done after each use. It is easy to pull out racks if you buy one of the rack pullers listed on this site. I have not measure internal temp but it seems to be cooking as expected with no burning. I have tried griddle yet but love the idea of two sides . Navigation by knobs is really intuitive. It’s obvious a lot of thought went into R&D. Interior lighting is very bright. Accessories are of nice weight and easy to clean. Use a small brush on basket after soaking. This is a top notch devise and I don’t understand why it isn’t rated on many review sites. Don’t let that sway you; this is among the very best….and I am a picky consumer.” – Margaret S., experienced reviewer
“I don’t know any other way of saying this, but after going through several highly expensive Breville toaster ovens (all breaking anywhere from 2-3 years, I had given up on trying to find another toaster oven from any brand. But as all of us tend to do, while perusing on Amazon, we came across the NuWave brand, and I happened to see this Nuwave Bravo XL Pro Air Fryer Toaster Oven with Grill Combo, 2025 New Ultra-Fast Convection System, and decided to pull the trigger and ordered one.Not being aware of the NuWave brand, I knew I was taking a chance, but ordered it anyway. It came in record time (like next day). When I opened the box (well packaged by the way), I found a variety of accessories, trays, a sizable cook book with various interesting recipes, and basic instruction manual and an additional card to register for a full 5 year warranty (which I did quickly).Firstly, this NuWave toaster oven looks great. It is substantial lighter feeling than the previous much heavier Brevilles, but I’ve got to say that the heat coming from the outside of this NuWave oven is not as hot as what I experienced with the Breville models – now go figure. That was actually a nice revelation because in the past, I had burned myself coming in touch with the outside side and top panels of the Brevilles. But I’m not getting that from this NuWave – now go figure? Granted, it still gets warm – don’t get me wrong here – but just not as piercingly hot (on the outside) as some of the other brands do.This entire unit with its various buttons is very intuitive – no having to scratch your head in order to figure out how to do something. And there are a wealth of options. A child could do it, and everything cooks perfectly. We have no complaints with regard to cooking temperatures, and we couldn’t be happier. Why I hadn’t investigated the NuWave brand in the past is beyond me, and to get a full 5-year warranty was wonderful to say the least. Another thing to keep in mind is that the layout and feel of the interior, makes it easier to clean than other brand models. So this Nuwave Bravo XL Pro Air Fryer Toaster Oven with Grill Combo, 2025 New Ultra-Fast Convection System gets the full 5 stars from us. It is a quality made unit that still remains light to hold and lift, yet contains the heat much more effectively than some of the other much more expensive (other brand) units that we’ve had over the past 10 years.Well done NuWave…” – William T., long-term user
