Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “Absolutely love this product. It cleans the clothes so well! I put as much capacity of clothes as it holds, drains really well, easy use very durable size is perfect to move around, and not heavy. Very durable.”
Customer Review: “This machine is awesome. It is completely 100% automatic. All you have to do is hook it to your sink and turn the water on and set your washing mode and the machine doesn’t all. It drains perfectly into the sink no need for buckets. I love this machine and the design is modern and very European. It is durable and the size is much larger than I anticipated but that’s great because it fits perfect and not bulky. There is literally no noise at all. Perfect for those in apartments. You can wash when others sleep and it will not wake them. My only disappointment was I ordered gold and was sent gray, but that’s ok the machine runs perfectly! Don’t hesitate and buy it.”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “I live in a small apartment with no washer/dryer hookup so I bought this for my daughters and myself to be able to do laundry. It has a wash side and a dry side and it has hoses to drain the water for rinse and to empty the water. It plugs into a regular outlet that any basic appliances plug into and it doesn’t take up very much space. The quality is very strong, decent made plastic. It doesn’t have wheels so it doesn’t roll but it’s not heavy so it can be moved from place to place with ease. The wash side holds a decent amount of clothes, not as much as regular washer but more than what I expected. I do run the rinse 2 times just to be sure the soap is out and it’s rinsed well. Thats just my preference. The wash is only a few minutes long and it works really good and gets my clothes clean. The dry side is smaller than I expected and I have to separate each wash into 2 dry loads, which also is just a couple minutes. It does not dry with heat. It spins very fast and dries by taking most of the water out of the clothes. It will be very slightly damp still, so I have a stand up foldable air drying stand that I just hang my clothes on to dry in a couple hours. The washer/dryer combo is plastic but it’s sturdy and works really well. It doesn’t make very much noise or sound when it’s in use which I also love. I am very happy with this combo and the ease of washing and drying my clothes in the privacy of my own home. I don’t like going to public washers and dryers. It is really an affordable piece and so easy to use. I recommend this combo.”
Customer Review: “The media could not be loaded. I waited a couple months to write this review because I wanted to really see if this would work well and how it would hold up. So here is my honest review. Delivery: It came on time but the box was very damaged by the rain. (I take blame for that because I didn’t check the forecast) lol. It also came upside down (granted I live on the 3rd floor) so I feel for that delivery person who had to carry that big box up 3 flights of stairs in the pouring rain. So overall delivery was good under those circumstances. Assuming the machine: There is none. I just took it out of the box as soon as possible because of the rain. You have the option to hook it up to your sink, kitchen faucet and or shower head. I never hooked it up to a water source so all I had to do was plug it in. Machine: The machine has 3 knobs on the front for the washing timer, drain and the spinning timer. The machine did come a little dusty and had scratches on the top and there is one random screw poking out from the bottom. Other than that the machine looked good. How to use. The way I have mine set up is the washing machine is in my bathroom next to the tub. I didn’t want to put it in the tub because I don’t want the water to go up under the machine and become damaged. So, I bought a washing machine/ refrigerator stand to make it taller. I also bought bed risers to make it taller so the hose could clear the bath tub since it uses gravity to drain the water out. I have a long shower head that I use to fill it up with water and rinse the clothes. All you need to do is put your clothes in, fill the machine up with water and then add your detergent (you do NOT need a lot of detergent). Then select you washing time (left knob) then there is an option for normal soft and drain (middle knob) I always keep it at normal and then drain when I need it. The right knob is for the spinning timer. Final thoughts: I am extremely happy with the machine. It works great and really gets your clothes clean. Not only is it easy to use but I have saved so much money. I’m saving on detergent and instead of spending so much money/time at the laundry mat. I am so happy that I purchased this machine it’s exactly what I wanted. If you are looking for a portable washing machine then this is the one for you.”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “It leaks like a sieve and after a month will no longer hold a charge. ABSOLUTELY USELESS.”
Customer Review: “This thing is AMAZING!!!!!! I have black medical compression socks, and they’re expensive so I only have two pairs, and I don’t want to run a super small load in my washing machine, because that’s so wasteful of water and energy. But THIS LITTLE GUY GETS IT DONE!!!! I washed a pair of socks today, and the spin cycle did such a good job I literally couldn’t wring out more moisture by HAND. THIS THING IS A GAME CHANGER. It is very loud, and you can NOT use it while it’s charging (this is probably because it’s a machine that involves water so it makes sense but not something I considered, but it doesn’t take long at all to charge.) I’ve been using this lil dude DAILY the past week and it’s great, but once again very loud but a sacrifice I’m willing to make for the POWERRRRR!”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “After testing it out on my bed sheets and comforter, I can attest that this dryer is fairly exceptional. I did the sheets and queen size comforter as two different loads, but it dried them just as fast, if not faster than a normal dryer. I will add though, that I had to open up the back and examine a loud noise after putting the comforter in. What I ended up discovering was that a piece of foil tape that was covering a sensor wire in the exhaust had come off partially and the air was making it create a strange screeching noise. After securing the tape and reassembling, the noise was gone, and the machine was functional as normal. At first I thought it broken immediately under the weight of a queen size comforter, but alas, it was a little piece of tape making a sound. The comforter dried in less than 30 minutes, which is phenomenal for this portable dryer. I will state that my portable washer is about as big as they come before being normal sized and it has a very good spin cycle, so that certainly helps. I would highly recommend this little dryer. I actually ordered a 3.5cu from an alternative (generic) brand for about the same price, but it arrived beat to absolute hell and wouldn’t function, so I returned it immediately and opted for this Black and Decker brand. While it is smaller than a 3.5cu, it absolutely will get the job done, and potentially better than the generic brand 3.5cu. If anything, get the Black and Decker 3.5cu if you want bigger, but I think the 2.6cu is plenty enough. This little 2.6cu arrive in mint condition as well, which is always nice. I feel like it is hit or miss when ordering big appliances on Amazon. Guess I won the lottery.”
Customer Review: “I got the 1.7 washer and this dryer. They work great together. So happy to ditch the laundromat. Dries great with a full heat setting, half heat, and cool. I got a dryer vent kit – it expels the heat into a little tub filled with some water, but warning it still makes the room very humid – I’d def recommend finding a way to use a vent out out a window. Even with the humidity issue, still happy with this purchase.”
5. BLACK+DECKER Compact Dryer

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “The media could not be loaded. I only bought this washer to wash my dogs pee pads and diapers and it does the job fantastically. The inlet hose is not functional, but it’s not a big deal. I’m sure you can buy another hose for 10 bucks for it if you choose to hook it up to your Faucet. I put it in my spare bathroom so i can put the drain hose in the tub, this was most convenient for me. I was gonna put it in the yard but then i wont have hot water from my yard hose. Its a spacious washer, it doesn’t have a rinse option so after draining i put cold water in and wash another 2-3 min, you can repeat this part as many times as u like! Then i put all three 34×34 dog pads into the spinner and its powerful and works very well, you have to put the included spin cover inside on top of your items and fill it tightly and push it down as much as possible for it to work properly! And trust me it works very well! When it’s spinning correctly, it should sound smooth and not banging inside and the washer shouldn’t be moving. If it does, you don’t have the spinner filled properly. This spinner is better than a regular washer! Wow! It shows you also in the instruction book. I filled it with my showerhead, you don’t have to stand there to fill it. You just put your showerhead in there and close the lid until it fills it up. I have a pretty powerful showerhead so it doesn’t take long at all. You don’t have to fill it full depending on how many items you’re washing. Also in the instruction book. I’m pretty impressed. It’s perfect for what I needed, I highly recommend this product It’s very easy to use, and it already comes in one piece straight out of the box! I love this washer and it looks cute! I hope it ll last a long time. Thank you to the manufacturer very cool and convenient, awesome 👍🏻👍🏻”
Customer Review: “Perfect for campers! So easy to use even my boyfriend can do it. Washes really well even gets off the concrete dust. Spins clothes out pretty dry. With heavy clothes I’d say safe to wash every other day otherwise it’ll take a whole day to wash a week of clothes as a welder. Fits in lots of spaces. Very sturdy.”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “The media could not be loaded. This washing machine has been a great solution for a small living space. If you don’t have a lot of room, this unit fits perfectly without feeling bulky. It’s ideal for smaller homes. It washes clothes very well considering the size. The washer side handles a solid amount of laundry, and the controls are simple and easy to use. No complicated setup. The spin dryer obviously just spins (it’s not heat drying), but it removes a lot of water and leaves clothes much drier than I expected. After spinning, they only need a short time to fully air dry. For the price, I honestly have no complaints. The quality matches what you pay for, and it performs exactly as it should.”
Customer Review: “My daughter and I recently had to move into a tiny cottage, in the mountains, due to a nasty divorce. During the process I had to give up most of my possessions, including my beautiful washer and dryer. We went to a laundromat every other week, hauling our laundry up & down a flight of stairs, sometimes in the rain. Not having a washer reminded me of all we loss. We are active people and my daughter plays sports, she needs her team practice gear washed weekly, which I would wash by hand between laundromat days. FYI: I have always hung dry most items to prevent shrinking and preserve the fabric/color. I have a minky drying rack that holds a lot of clothes and live in sunny CA. My daughter asked how do people living in RV’s wash their clothes? I started googling and watching YouTube videos and found this portable washer. It was delivered to my front door (most delivery services don’t want to go down my stairs.) First impression we were excited with the size of the wash tub and overall aesthetics but concerned about the hose as it is very cheap looking. We started a load inside, using buckets of water, draining into buckets. We had tears of joy! A month later, it’s used outside using the water hose and letting it drain outdoors. I can heat water to add warm water or hot water. I purchased the largest washer and it’s pretty quiet, easy to use, and does a beautiful job on the clothes. The spinner removes almost all of the water from the clothes, cutting down on drying time. The washer is light weight and has side handles, so easy to move, as the weather gets bad it will go back inside. I don’t overload or push down the clothes and think about weight vs. number of items in the washer, however I can do most of our clothes in one load. All of my bedding and dish towels, fit fine and one load. I do drain and refill for a short wash to remove soap as follows: Wash for 12 mins., drain, refill Rinse/wash 5 mins, put in spinner and rinse with water, spin 3mins.or less mins. So far the cheap washer hose is working great, if someone has a better one please post! Tip: I don’t drain the water from the wash tub until after the final spin. I feel it helps distribute weight in the spin tub. I have no rocking. Also if outdoors cover the top, an acorn scratch my top cover. We have overcome so many obstacles and purchasing this washer has helped us persevere. It’s a must for small places or two chicks in the woods.”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “I got the 1.7 washer and this dryer. They work great together. So happy to ditch the laundromat. Dries great with a full heat setting, half heat, and cool. I got a dryer vent kit – it expels the heat into a little tub filled with some water, but warning it still makes the room very humid – I’d def recommend finding a way to use a vent out out a window. Even with the humidity issue, still happy with this purchase.”
Complete Buying Guide for Washer And Dryer For Apartments Without Hookups
Essential Factors We Consider
When shopping for washer and dryer for apartments without hookups, several key factors determine success. First, **capacity** matters—match it to your household size. Next, **ease of setup** is crucial since plumbing isn’t an option. Look for units with faucet connections or manual filling options. Noise level affects neighbors, especially in thin-walled buildings. Durability ensures longevity despite frequent moves or heavy use. Finally, consider whether you need just a washer, just a dryer, or a combo. Most importantly, verify compatibility if buying separately—some dryers work better with specific washers due to venting or timing.
Budget Planning
Portable laundry solutions range from $100 to $600+. Budget wisely: a $150 twin-tub washer may suffice if you air-dry, while a $500 combo unit saves time and effort. Remember to factor in extras like vent kits ($10–$30), extra hoses, or drip trays. Some models require separate purchases for optimal performance. Always compare total ownership cost, not just upfront price. Student budgets benefit from mini-washers under $100; families should invest in larger capacities around $300–$400.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I use these washers without any plumbing?
A: Yes! Most portable washers connect directly to your kitchen or bathroom faucet using the included adapter. Alternatively, you can manually fill buckets and pour water into the drum—though this adds effort. Drainage typically relies on gravity into a sink or bathtub, though some models include pumps for outdoor use.
Q: Do I need special electricity for portable dryers?
A: Standard portable dryers plug into any 120V outlet, just like a hair dryer or toaster. However, they draw more power (usually 800–1500W), so avoid overloading circuits. Always use a dedicated outlet if possible, and ensure proper ventilation—either through a window or external vent kit—to prevent humidity buildup.
Q: How much space do these units actually take?
A: Compact models measure roughly 18–24 inches wide, 16–20 inches deep, and 20–25 inches tall. They fit under counters, in closets, or beside refrigerators. Twin-tub washers are slightly wider but often lighter. Measure your available space before ordering, and account for clearance around vents or drainage paths.
Q: Will these machines damage my floors or cabinets?
A: Most portable units have rubberized feet that provide stability and protect surfaces. However, heavier models may shift during spin cycles. Placing them on non-slip mats or elevated platforms helps prevent movement. Avoid placing directly against cabinets unless securely anchored.
Q: Are heated dryers worth the extra cost?
A: Heated dryers save significant time compared to spin-only models, especially in humid climates or winter months. If you frequently wash bulky items like towels or bedding, the investment pays off. However, in dry environments, a good spin cycle plus outdoor line-drying may suffice for smaller loads.
