Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “The media could not be loaded. 🗓️ Length of Ownership:I’ve had this ice maker for almost a year now, and I’m genuinely impressed by how well it’s held up. I wasn’t expecting it to last this long for the price, but it’s been a great investment, especially during the summer.❄️ Performance:We keep the machine running constantly in the warmer months, and it consistently provides fresh ice throughout the day. You can choose between small or large ice cubes—though even the “large” ones aren’t huge, they’re a perfect size for our drinks. As long as the bin isn’t full, the machine keeps producing ice reliably without any issues.🧼 Maintenance:Taking care of this machine has been very simple. About once every two weeks, I wipe it down with vinegar and warm water—mainly the inside compartment and the removable basket. That’s really all it takes to keep it clean and running smoothly. It’s not complicated at all and only takes a few minutes.🔊 Noise Level:The noise level is surprisingly reasonable. It’s not silent, but it’s definitely not loud enough to be annoying. We usually have it running in the background, and it doesn’t bother us at all.👨\u200d👩\u200d👧 Usage & Capacity:It’s just my husband and me using it, and it easily covers our daily needs—typically 6 to 8 drinks a day in the summer. If you have a larger family or entertain often, you might want something with a higher capacity, but for us, this size is just right.✅ Pros:Still working great after nearly a yearCompact and stylish designOption to choose between small and large cubesReasonably quiet operationVery easy to clean and maintainPerfect for small households or couples❌ Cons:Ice output might not be enough for large families“Large” cube size is still relatively small (just FYI)💬 Final Thoughts:If you’re looking for a reliable countertop ice maker that doesn’t take up much space and delivers consistent performance, this one is a great choice. It’s easy to use, easy to maintain, and perfect for keeping your drinks cold all summer long. We’re very happy with it and would definitely buy it again.
Customer Review: “Makes ice and does reasonably fast. It is a small machine so it is not going to supply a big event. For the two of us it is sized well. Works well but it is a bit noisy so we have it in the room with the freezer. It would be nice to have an easier way to fill the water. You need to remove the ice basket and look inside as you fill the reservoir. An external window would be great. But all in all not too bad. Love the ice.”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “This countertop ice maker works really well and starts producing ice much faster than I expected. It’s compact enough to fit easily on the counter but makes plenty of ice throughout the day. Operation is simple and the noise level is reasonable. Great for everyday use, especially when hosting or when the freezer ice runs out. Definitely a very convenient appliance to have.”
Customer Review: “I love cold drinks with lots of ice, but I live in an area prone to tropical storms and flooding where “boil water” notices are frequent. So connecting an ice maker to a tap water source is ill-advised. Consequently, I was buying bags of ice at the store every week. With this unit I can use bottled water and make all the ice I want. It has been reliable so far, and has already paid for itself.I really like the bullet-shaped cubes. They melt slowly enough to keep drinks cold, yet crush more easily than large cubes or crescents when used in a blender.Although it wasn’t a major factor in my purchase, I plugged the unit into an ECOFLOW portable power station and solar panel just to see how it functioned. It pulled 1.8 amps when making ice, and worked the same as it did on regular house current, confirming that I could use that setup to make ice while camping or during a power outage.Note: This is not a “set it and forget it” commercial ice maker. You fill the well with water, it makes 9 cubes about every six minutes, and dumps them into a basket (and yes, that makes some noise, of course). That basket is in an insulated compartment, but it’s not refrigerated, so if you leave the ice in it as shown in the product photos, it will eventually start to melt (the water drips back into the well). With that in mind, I usually make ice while I’m a watching a game on TV or something, so I can get up and dump each batch of ice into a container in my kitchen freezer before it starts to melt (and refill the 1.2L water well if needed). After three or four hours, I have enough ice (10+ pounds) for the week. This unit was priced considerably lower when I bought it. I’m not sure I would have purchased it for the current $75 (lots of similar choices for less), but I’m glad I have it.”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “My husband was tired of travelling to the store every two or three days to buy me ice. Not just any ice at any store, it had to be a certain ice. Bless him, I have the best husband. I drink lots of ice water and love to chew on the ice. Our new home came with a fancy fridge with a built in ice maker/crusher that we don’t use. The ice is too hard, and when you use the crushing option, it provides you with smaller chunks of razor like ice shards. Needless to say we don’t even have it hooked up anymore. The ice I prefer is round with a hole in the center. I’m not sure how or why, but it produces a softer less deadly, chewable ice. I’m not a huge fan of the snow cone type ice as it melts too fast and even from the start there is really nothing to chew. So my husband figured he spends close to $400 a year on ice. This does not include transportation to and from the store. I found this ice maker online and he said “GET IT!!”. I purchased it and told him not to get his hopes up because if I didn’t like the ice it produces, it’s going back. Well that isn’t the case. I LOVE the ice, it’s smaller and even softer than the ice we had been purchasing from the store. It also has the hole in the center of the cube, which makes me wonder if that is the key to soft chewable ice. The unit is fairly quiet. In fact it’s much quieter that the refrigerator ice maker. I think it’s because it has less of an ice drop to create that earth shattering noise. It works really fast. I’ve only made the large cubes, which are still fairly small, and it will produce them in about 10 minutes. It drops enough to fill a small glass, but in 10 more minutes you have more. We hooked it up, left the house for 2 hours and came home to a full bin of ice. I emptied into a large 2 gallon ziploc freezer bag. It took about 4 full bins to fill that bag up. When the ice enters the ziploc it’s a little wet, so it tends to refreeze in the freezer and make a solid chunk. This chunk easily separates with one hard drop of the bag onto the counter, so this is not an issue at all. The 2 gallon bag takes up a lot less space in the freezer than the 20lb bag we had previously been buying. I primarily take from the counter top unit when I fill my glass and save my ziploc as a backup. The rest of the family uses a lot of ice and the unit does well to meet our demand. My only complaints (and they are by no means deal breakers) are that the counter unit is much larger than I was expecting. I wish it took up less space on the counter AND for being so large, the bin that holds the ice is rather small and fills up quickly. That’s all.. Otherwise, I love it. So happy to have found it.”
Customer Review: “The product description and some photos in the listing are not accurate, this does not make 3 sizes. It only makes one size cube. That said, this is a nice unit. Set up is easy. Pour in water to the fill line, put in the basket and press the start button. It makes ice until the basket is full. When you un-box, take off all the shipping tape holding the inside basket and the ice ejector flap. There is a hidden piece of tape holding the ice ejector flap in place for shipping – it needs to be removed. The ice basket was totally full after about 75 minutes. One basket of ice fills a 1 quart Chinese restaurant soup container to put ice in the freezer for storage. It is fairly compact – 11 inches high, 10 inches deep and 9 inches wide. The machine is pretty quiet, there is a low intermittent fan sound when it is running. The instructions say to have some free space around the unit for air intake and discharge. I am impressed with it.”

Complete Buying Guide for Best Easy To Clean Countertop Ice Maker
Essential Factors We Consider
When evaluating easy-to-clean countertop ice makers, we prioritize several key factors: cleaning accessibility, self-cleaning functionality, ease of disassembly, and material quality. Models with removable trays, drip pans, and transparent windows score higher because they allow thorough cleaning and reduce bacterial buildup. Additionally, stainless steel exteriors resist smudges and corrosion better than plastic alternatives.
Budget Planning
You’ll find reliable easy-to-clean countertop ice makers starting around $60–$80, with premium models featuring pump-assisted cleaning or dual ice sizes reaching $150+. Budget wisely based on your usage frequency and desired features. Remember: investing slightly more upfront often means less headache later in maintenance and replacement costs.
Final Thoughts
Choosing the best easy-to-clean countertop ice maker comes down to matching your lifestyle with the right balance of speed, capacity, and maintenance ease. Whether you prefer bullet cubes, nuggets, or pebbles, there’s a model on this list that fits your needs—without sacrificing hygiene or convenience.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How often should I clean my countertop ice maker?
A: For optimal hygiene and performance, clean your ice maker every 1–2 weeks using the self-cleaning function or a mixture of vinegar and water. Always empty the bin, wipe interior surfaces, and dry completely before refilling.
Q: Can I use tap water in my ice maker?
A: Most countertop ice makers accept tap water, but if your local water supply has frequent contamination warnings, consider using filtered or bottled water to protect your appliance and ensure cleaner-tasting ice.
Q: Do these ice makers require special maintenance?
A: No—most models are designed for simple maintenance. Key steps include regular cleaning, timely emptying of the ice bin, and occasional wiping of exterior surfaces. Avoid submerging electrical components.
Q: Is it normal for ice to melt slightly during production?
A: Yes. Since most countertop ice makers don’t refrigerate the storage basket, ice may begin melting within hours—especially in warm environments. Transfer excess ice to your freezer for longer storage.
Q: Which ice type is best for cocktails?
A: Bullet-shaped cubes are ideal for cocktails because they chill drinks quickly without diluting them too fast. Large cubes work well for whiskey, while nuggets enhance iced coffee and sodas.
In conclusion, finding the best easy-to-clean countertop ice maker doesn’t have to be overwhelming. With options ranging from budget-friendly nugget makers to premium stainless steel units with self-cleaning pumps, there’s a solution for every kitchen and lifestyle. Whether you value speed, design, or low maintenance, the products reviewed above offer proven performance and user satisfaction. Don’t settle for store-bought ice when you can enjoy fresh, customizable cubes right at home—easy to make, even easier to clean.
